Custom Barrel King began with a passion for creating sustainable furniture and giving forgotten oak barrels a second life, a renewed purpose, and a stage to shine.
For founder Mat, creativity isn’t a hobby, it’s a lifetime’s work. With over 35 years of hands-on experience in trades, business, and design, he and his team bring craftsmanship, integrity, and artistry with heart. Every project carries the same attention to detail, precision, and values: connection, sustainability, and community.

When Peter Jennings’ daughter approached us, she wanted something truly one of a kind — a handcrafted gift that spoke to her father’s love of family and sport. Together, we designed a personalised barrel that combined the Jennings name with his favourite sporting team, brought to life with precision laser engraving.
